Our Installation Process

At America Sod, we take pride in providing a thorough and professional sod installation process to ensure the best results for your lawn. Here’s how we handle the installation:

1. Removal and Preparation: We start by removing the existing sod using medium-sized machinery. This ensures that the old grass and debris are effectively cleared out, creating a clean slate for the new sod.
2. Leveling: After the initial removal, we level the ground manually using a rake only. This step helps to create a more even surface for the sod installation and supports proper root establishment and growth. Please note that this is a basic leveling process. We do not use heavy equipment such as bobcats, compactors, or grading machinery, and we do not perform full land grading or major leveling corrections. For areas with significant unevenness, additional landscaping or grading services may be required prior to installation.
3. Bagging and Disposal: The old sod and other debris are then collected into small bags and left at the front of the property. In most cases, the city’s garbage truck will pick up these bags during regular trash collection.
